Choosing a strop
Rigid, flexible, compact or traditional.
A rigid paddle or bench strop provides a supported surface; hanging belts offer a traditional flexible format; pocket and mini options prioritize portability. Stropping is generally used after sharpening to refine and polish the edge and remove very small burrs, rather than to repair heavily damaged edges.
